another dear apple.

dear apple computers,

why is it that it is so difficult for me to make an mp3 (data) cd on my computer via itunes? i bought this music fair and square from the itunes store and then it won’t convert over to mp3s. or if it will convert, i have to make duplicates of every song, then burn it, then deal with the fact that i’ve made duplicates of all the songs by erasing to them or by listening to each one twice.

(i didn’t really listen to each one twice.)

i enjoy a data cd because i can put more music on it and then the little dashboard in my car displays what i’m listening to. you know that dashboard thing? it’s cool.

furthermore, the songs that don’t to convert to mp3s get listened to far less than those that will because they get additional drive time listening. just an fyi for bands and labels and such.

thanks. your loyal customer who purchases songs legally via the internet,

brea

also - if anyone knows any solutions to my above problems, please fill me in.

This is why I’ve switched over to using the Amazon MP3 store. http://www.amazon.com/mp3.

They’re DRM free, every track, and plain old MP3s. And, sometimes, they’re cheaper too. I always check there first before going to iTunes.

As an aside, I’m really looking forward to the new season of Heroes! Loved your character on Friday Night Lights, and curious to see what your new character on Heroes is like.

So the problem you are having is after you download your music you want it in mp3 format right off the bat and not have to deal with converting it and dealing with duplicate copies on your library, right?
