Comic Book Resources

new article on Comic Book Resources about me and Heroes. i like it. it’s the first time i got to talk about comics in an interview.

and all the comic suggestions are awesome. keep them coming! i read non-stop so any reading suggestions are always great to me. i mostly stick to comics, sci-fi, and history books (there was a reason i was an American Studies major and that reason is i’m a nerd). but i’ll read most anything.

good sci-fi movie suggestions are cool too.

last movie i saw: The Host - awesome Korean monster film, but did anyone else have trouble following some parts? it’s like they took out some essential plot points. how did they get away from the cops after they escaped the first time?

currently reading: The Glamour Factory by Ronald Davis - a book on the history of Hollywood, well researched but not for those who don’t like to sit down and read history. it has some great stories though about the studio system and particularly the heads of the studios. i’ll try to include one later.

Glad you liked the interview :)

My recommendation is Kick Ass by Bendis and Romita Jr. Not much in relation to a “speedster” but the first comic in a long time where I actually couldn’t wait to get home and read the comic in my car.

As for Quicksilver, Peter David wrote an amazing issue of X-Factor (volume 1, issue 87) where the team sees a psychiatrist and the Quicksilver part, though small, is great and should give you a bit of an insight to the character.

Way to go on landing the role! I adored Jean on FNL and you’ll be carrying me over to watch Heroes when the season starts since I love comics but have not kept up with the series. The article was excellent.
