after i read this article about how great i am at social media, i felt guilty enough to write a blog post. so here’s some things i’ve liked lately.

the gossip – music for men this album is my jam right now. beth ditto is a total badass. and i love the transition they’ve made as a band. if you like this album, you should really check out some of their earlier stuff. it’s completely unique. anyway, this album has been blasting in my car the last month or so whenever i need to get pumped. they also put on one of the greatest live shows i’ve ever seen. i like them so much, i’m going to post two videos from this album. yes, it’s that good.

lesly kahn’s blog – lesly is one of the top acting teachers in los angeles and yet she still has time to blog. she shares funny stories, inspiration and hard truths about the industry all in her signature lesly kahn way. 

 final girl- love this blog. stacie posts reviews, movie posters, and all things related to horror. and she’s working on her own movie right now we get to watch that unfold. a true horror junkie’s must-read.

a whole new mind by daniel pink – okay, yes, oprah also recommended this book to pretty much ALL of her viewers which i think means the entire world, BUT i’m also going to get behind it. not just because it justifies my career choices as a "creative" type but also because i think he’s on to something. pink’s idea is that jobs are becoming more and more creative in the united states and less analytical. so read this if you want a reason to justify majoring in film instead of in computer science. it made me feel better. 

the graveyard book by neil gaiman (this is his twitter account) – this is one of those children’s books that adults should read. in fact, i’m getting it for all the adults in my life for christmas. it’s creepy and actually kind of scary at times but a quick and enjoyable read.

in general, this is a hilarious show on current tv. specifically, i’m in this one. i make a two second or so guest appearance around 1:20.
